About Us

Christ’s Cocoons is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization. 
Our mission is to provide hope and encouragement to the homeless by
demonstrating the warmth of Christ’s love through gifts of sleeping bags and other items for their comfort. 
The ‘cocoons’ are distributed to those living off the land by our volunteers and
through various organizations including:

Small business consultant and licensed insurance agent for more than 45 years. Distinguished Instructor of insurance at Hondros College of Business. Former board member of the Columbus Soap Box Derby; active in many business and civic groups throughout Central Ohio.

Tony Bonina

Vice President

Retired sales and marketing professional providing consulting services to several organizations. Adjunct Instructor at Franklin University and Columbus State Community College. Advisory Board Vice-President for Visit Westerville. Leader in Marriage Ministry at St. Paul Catholic Church, and volunteer at Uptown Westerville, Inc.

Mark Engell

Principle Network Engineer and IT consultant Lead at AEP specializing in Telecommunications & Computer Networking.
Active member of Peace United Methodist Church.. Long time supporter & volunteer for Tyler’s Light, Habitat For Humanity, Helping Hands Medical Equipment ministry, Bed Brigade ministry, & Upward Soccer.

Ellen Graber

Board Member

Ellen has been a member of Peace United Methodist Church for over 20 years and has served in a variety of capacities including leadership of women’s fellowship and service, hospitality coordinator, and as a LifeGroup leader. Ellen’s full-time profession is within the financial services industry with specialization in customer service. She possesses a Project Management Professional certification and currently leads teams focused on project and quality management. 

Guy Harmon

Founding Board Member

Independent sales specialist in the packaging industry representing the top manufacturers for packaging equipment and materials.
Active member of Peace Church in Pickerington volunteering with the Helping Hands Ministry, Open Shelter and Bed Brigade.  Volunteer coach for Shadywood baseball program, long time volunteer for Meals on Wheels program through Life Care Alliance and volunteer with the Salvation Army through various seasonal activities.

Greg Johnson

Secretary

Regional Sales Manager for Shur-Co, LLC covering the northeastern United States. Also involved with the Alzheimer’s Association where he leads a caregivers support group, and Peace United Methodist Church as a leader in the student ministry.
